During a regular day in England’s Holme Pierrepont National Watersports Centre, a heroic kayaker came across an innocent goose struggling to escape the end of the parish’s white water course. Luckily for the goose, only five minutes had past before the kayaker arrived.
Although we see her struggling to maintain control of the kayak, naturally she was experienced enough to maneuver around the hole in order to get close enough to eventually pick up the trapped goose and retreat back to the shore. Once there, it dried off and made its way back to rejoin with its group safe and sound.
Fortunately, the timing couldn’t have been better for this lucky goose. With the strength of the white water rapids, the goose could have been stuck there for hours without a rescuer. This scene goes to show that even in a peaceful parish in the East Midlands region of England, the wild life manages to make a headline with its clumsy misadventures.
