The solemn ceremony of farewell to the detachments of the ships of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) and the Navy of China (PLA Navy) after the exercises “Sea Interaction – 2019” was held in the Yellow Sea.

“During the ceremony, the ships that took part in the exercises, moving in the wake formation on collision courses, thanked each other for their joint work,” the press service of the Pacific Fleet quoted Interfax as saying.

It is noted that the participants of the “Sea Cooperation – 2019” were: Guards missile orders of the Nakhimov cruiser “Varyag”, large anti-submarine ships “Admiral Vinogradov”, “Admiral Tributs” and the corvette “Perfect”, the destroyers “Harbin” and “Changchun”, patrol ships “Wuhu” and “Handan”.

As reported, the international doctrine “Marine Interaction – 2019” was held from 1 to 4 May. A total of 15 surface combat ships, submarines and support ships, 10 aircraft and helicopters and marines units are involved in the exercises from both sides.

The doctrine included two stages – the coastal phase and the marine part. During the coastal part, interaction meetings, tactical troopers, official receptions, sports and cultural events were held. The sea part of the maneuvers was worked out in the waters of the Yellow Sea.

Russian-Chinese exercises “Sea Interaction-2019” have been held annually since 2012 in various areas of the World Ocean.
