The newspaper said that it was about developing the bases for a possible use of force against Damascus since Washington considers the Syrian Government responsible for the incident in Duma.
In addition, in the framework of the meeting, US President Donald Trump said he will decide on the US response to the chemical attack in Syria in the next 24 to 48 hours. “Probably before the end of today,” he added. “Everyone will pay a price,” he said.
The president condemned the attack in East Ghouta last Saturday and called it “atrocious”, adding that “it is a matter of humanity and you can not allow this to happen.”
Likewise, Trump has detailed that he will meet this afternoon with the Pentagon leadership. “No action is ruled out,” said the president.
