Navy and Police Seize More Than 400 Kilograms of Cocaine in Cartagena

Units of the National Navy, in the development of a coordinated operation with the National Police, seized 412,698 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride hidden in a container located in Muelles El Bosque.

Intelligence information from the National Navy revealed a high probability of contamination of a container that would have left Barranquilla on February 20, bound for Santo Tomas de Castillos in Guatemala.

For this reason, units of the Antinarcotics Police made a detailed inspection of the container located in El Bosque Mills, which resulted in the discovery of 10 cells containing 407 rectangular packages with what appeared to be narcotic substances, hidden among the bricks that were inside.

Police personnel carried out the Preliminary Initial Test – PIPH, giving positive for cocaine hydrochloride.

The seized drug belonged to the Gulf Clan that would send it to Europe, where it would have a value over 30 million dollars in the international market.
