In second phase the biggest military maneuvers in the Middle East

Riyadh, Apr 2 (Prensa Latina) The United Shield war maneuvers of the Gulf Peninsula entered today’s second phase with real firing exercises.
Led by Saudi Arabia, 23 armies from as many other countries take part in simulations with scenarios in the Eastern Province of the kingdom.

The Ministry of Defense of Saudi Arabia organized this one-month exercise with a view to improving preparedness, improving joint security and strengthening defense cooperation.

The first three-day phase ended last Thursday with practices in the use of modern technologies.

According to the spokesman of the maneuvers, Brigadier General Abdulla bin Hussain Al-Subai, in the second phase of five days will be exercised land, air, naval and special forces.

The United Shield of the Gulf Peninsula is the largest military simulation of the Middle East in terms of military participation and armament.
