Coastguard Seizes Vessel Carrying Drugs to Galápagos

A Coast Guard vessel from the US Navy District 11, during a patrol trip through the northern waters of the Galápagos Archipelago, boarded a vessel called “Tifanny”, while it sailed carrying substances under control.

The personnel of the North American ship proceeded to arrest two crew members, who together with the evidence were handed over to the national coast guard boat “San Salvador” of the Navy of Ecuador.

Through a press release issued by the Directorate of Aquatic Spaces of the Navy, it was reported that the confiscated material will be delivered today to the authorities of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno to the police authorities and the State Attorney General’s Office.
