Danish shipping company Norden, which is trying to reduce its share in global carbon dioxide emissions, assessed biofuel potential on one of its Handysize class tankers.

The test journey tanker Nord Highlander with a deadweight of 37 thousand tons made back in September. With the active participation of the marine biofuel company GoodFuels (headquarters – Amsterdam).

Norden came to the conclusion that second-generation biofuels are technically and economically acceptable, and therefore a very real alternative to low-sulfur fuel oil. Moreover, without any restrictions allows you to accelerate the engine to full speed.
