A Russian logging boat rescued four North Korean fishermen whose boat was shipwrecked in the Sea of ​​Japan (East Sea), the head of the Vladivostok Sea Rescue Coordination Center, Nikolai Pirozhkov, told Sputnik.

“At 13.00 local time this Monday [26 November] (3.00 GMT), the motorboat Stepan Geyts, who was registered in the port of Najodka and was sailing from Busan to Vladivostok, rescued four North Korean sailors whose boat had been shipwrecked”, declared Pirozhkov.

The head of the Center added that the four sailors are well and that the consulate of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in Vladivostok was notified of the incident.
