Administration of Seaports of Ukraine (AMPU) has announced two tenders for dredging of the water area and the shipping channels of the Mariupol and Berdyansk ports. The local authorities initiated two independent projects for the activities in both ports and after receiving orders will choose the best offer considering money, time and reputation of the company. The works of both projects must be completed until the end of the year and the total budget for both is up to 14 million USD. Investors and dredging companies from Central and Eastern Europe, as well as large world companies are expected to place their bids in the tender.
Expected cost of works in Mariupol port is 8.45 million USD (222.75 million UAH) excluding VAT. The volume of dredging in the port is 1.645 million cubic meters. As a result of works, the design depth of the approach channel should be brought to 9.15 m, while at the inner water area to be increased to 9.75 m.
The budget for dredging in the Berdyansk port is set at 5 million USD (UAH 131.93 million) excluding VAT. The volume of dredging works in the port is 1.047 million cubic meters. As a result of works, the depth of the approach channel will be brought to the level of 8.60 m, while at the inner water area to be increased to 8.40 m.
Administration of Seaports of Ukraine also plans to in the near future work will open tender for increasing the depth in the port of Yuzhny and Chernomorsk.
