The captain of the boat, who collided with a pleasure yacht in the Kerch Strait, in which two women were killed, was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment in a colony-settlement, the Crimean department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reports.
According to the investigation, in June of this year in the Black Sea area Evgeny Maloy, controlling the vessel “Stealth-007” in a state of intoxication, made a collision with the yacht “Solaris”. As a result, on the yacht “Solaris” two women died, two more people received bodily injuries of varying severity. Six people were injured on the vessel “Stealth-007”.
“Having taken into account all the arguments of the investigation, the court sentenced Mala to a penalty of 4 years’ imprisonment with serving in a colony-settlement.” – the report says.
The verdict came into force.
