Rix EmeraldThe general cargo ship Rix Emerald collided with the docked vessel Arklow Breeze at Brunsbuettel port on Elbe river. The accident happened during maneuvering, due to human mistake of the Master. The docked cargo vessel Arklow Breeze and the pier suffered slight damages during the collision, while the responsible cargo ship had just small dents of the hull. The general cargo vessel Rix Emerald was detained for inspection and investigation. It was estimated that the master of the ship is under intoxication. The ship operator was fined with 3000 EUR and vessel was banned from leaving the port until further settlement of dispute.
