Cruise ship Carnival Legend suffered heavy list after starboard azipod defect

The accident lasted for 3-4 minutes only, but a lot of things fell on the floors in public places and cabins, as well as water flowed from swimming pools. The passengers on board were safe and did not suffered any serious injuries, but vessel arrived at Victoria with delay of two hours due to the several minutes accident. After the malfunction of the azipod, the crew reduced speed and succeeded to stabilize the vessel in several minutes and proceeded to the last port of their cruise.

The cruise ship Carnival Legend docked at the US port and disembarked all the passengers safely, but will remain in the port until further inspection and repair of the defected starboard azipod. The local authorities were informed about the accident.
