Bibby Offshore was awarded with subsea engineering contract in North Sea. Neither the client nor the finance details were disclosed, but according to official statement it is multimillion-pound agreement. Bibby Offshore will be employed of pre-commissioning and commissioning support, as well as construction services comprising valve operations, spool installation, umbilical pull in and lay, trenching and stabilization through the installation of concrete mattresses on 80 nautical miles off Lincolnshire, east of England. Supported by Bibby’s dedicated onshore engineering team, the company will have access to offshore construction and pull in/lay teams, ensuring efficiency and productivity is maximized.
Into the contract will be employed the construction support vessel Olympic Ares and diving support vessel Bibby Polaris. The vessels will operate in water depths of 21.00 m and 48.00 m. The contract is scheduled to start and commence in third and fourth quarter of 2016.
